From operations to software.

I’m Andrew Herrera. I work directly with operators to turn their workflows into usable systems.

Aviation · operating experience and FetchOS

Understand the work. Build the system.

FetchOS. Software from the operating floor.

Before defining the product, I helped launch the operation. That experience defined what the team needed to quote, book and manage the aircraft.

Direct operating responsibility

As cofounder, COO and pilot of Fetch Air / Tryp Air Charter, I helped acquire the Part 135 operator, prepare the launch aircraft, and standardize training.

October 2024–April 2026

What I led for launch

I spearheaded the development of FetchOS, the platform the sales team used to quote, book and manage the aircraft from launch day. I worked directly with the company’s sole software engineer. I turned operating friction into specs and acceptance criteria, defined the customer, pilot and aircraft-owner portals, and tested each feature as it shipped.

The workflow defines the system.

At Petromex, I translated commercial procedures into workflows, transition rules, and connected records: PetraOS.

Behind every movement is a decision.

PetraOS. Turning the operation into rules.

The tanker establishes the context. The work is in the system: understanding Petromex’s procedures, defining controls, and connecting its commercial operation to evidence.

QUALIFIEDCONTRACTED

Without approved KYC, the system blocks the move to contract. The decision does not depend on how a button looks: transition rules enforce it.

Groma and Minera. From drawings to reviewable decisions.

I translate estimating practices and the family firm’s field knowledge into product requirements and structured models, using AI-assisted development.

Quantities linked to their source

Groma has implemented drywall extraction, review, and estimating modules. They connect geometry, assemblies, and quantities; an estimator must inspect the source, resolve ambiguity, and accept the result.

What the model demonstrates

Minera has plan-based models and implemented operational modules. The house shown is a source-informed visualization with interpretive finishes—not a validated BIM or a completed 5D integration.

The operation is the starting point.

My work connects operating experience, discovery with users, and AI-assisted product development. Each project distinguishes my contribution, what works, and what remains in development.

Aviation & FetchOS

I cofounded Fetch Air, flew its PC-12NG and spearheaded the development of FetchOS, turning scheduling, sales and cockpit friction into specs, tests and shipped features with the company’s engineer.
