Andrew Rosario Herrera

About

I build software by starting with the operating environment.

Aviation taught me to work with procedures, constraints, and real consequences. Construction taught me to start with the people doing the work. I bring that operating experience to product discovery and AI-assisted software development across aviation, construction, and fuel logistics.

My contribution spans workflow discovery, product decisions, implementation with AI development tools, and validation against operational needs. Project technology lists describe the systems, not a claim of equal coding fluency in every language or framework.

Operating experience

A chronological record of the roles behind the work, separate from the order of the cinematic chapters.

  1. March 2026–present

    Petromex

    Technology Consultant and Product Builder

Worked directly with the team to understand its standard operating procedures, then built and recently deployed PetraOS around those workflows. Development and validation continue; deployment does not mean every planned capability is complete.

  2. October 2024–April 2026

Fetch Air / Tryp Air Charter

Cofounder, Chief Operating Officer and Pilot

Cofounded Fetch Air and acquired Tryp Air Charter, the Part 135 certificate holder, to launch the operation. Procured the launch PC-12NG in July 2025 and managed its refurbishment, led a training standardization program, partnered on recruiting four SIC pilots, and flew the aircraft as PIC and SIC on Part 135 flights from August 2025. Spearheaded the development of FetchOS, the platform the sales team used to quote, book and manage the aircraft from launch day, working directly with the company’s sole software engineer.

  3. 2018–present

    Minera Construction Group

Co-owner and Technology Lead · Herrera and Sons Drywall, Inc.

Manage contracts and field personnel, and turn plan intake, scope review, estimating and bid approval into software requirements grounded in contractor operations. Own product direction and AI-assisted development of Groma, the estimating application, and customize an open-source construction ERP around the company’s operating procedures.
